Sandstorm Ekko

Been spamming Sandstorm Ekko for about 55 games now after grabbing it from a chest, and honestly this skin hits different compared to other Ekko skins. The Q throw feels way smoother than base skin, especially when you're trying to CS under tower pressure. Where True Damage Ekko has that flashy pop to everything, Sandstorm keeps it clean with golden sand particles that actually make your timewinder easier to track in teamfights.

The W placement is probably the biggest upgrade here since the sand dome effect gives you clearer visibility on where your stun zone actually lands. Just yesterday I was defending dragon pit against three enemies and landed a perfect W because I could see exactly where the edge would catch their ADC trying to flank. But what really sells this skin is how the ult feels more responsive than PROJECT Ekko's clunky rewind animation. You get this instant sand explosion that makes it obvious when you've popped ult, which matters when you're fed and diving their backline.

Is Sandstorm Ekko worth it if you're thinking about buying? For 975 RP it's not breaking the bank, and my experience with Sandstorm Ekko shows it's purely cosmetic with no real advantage. The recall animation where he creates that hourglass is pretty sick though. And comparing it to Firelight which costs way more, you're getting solid value here.

After all these games I'd say grab it if you main Ekko or want something cleaner than his base animations. The skin aged really well since release and doesn't feel outdated like some of his earlier ones. Worth picking up when it goes on sale for sure.
