Ruthless Pantheon

You can't run from your past. Not when it's riding you down from the back of a doombuggy, scrap-spear raised. Hunting for the dregs of the Vandal gang across the wastes, it's said they're the only ones who know his name, and what happened that night… when he became ruthless.

Picked up Ruthless Pantheon from a mystery chest last week and honestly wasn't expecting much from this older skin. After around 55 games though, I'm actually impressed with how clean it feels compared to base Pantheon. The whole gladiator aesthetic hits different when you're diving their fed ADC under tower.

The Q spear throw feels way more responsive than default, probably because the animation doesn't have all those extra flourishes. His E shield bash has this satisfying metallic clang that makes blocking abilities feel more impactful. But what really sold me was the ult. Landing a good flank during dragon fights with that war cry echoing across the rift just makes you feel like an absolute unit. I remember this one game where I caught their whole team stacking for soul, dropped right behind them, and the intimidation factor alone made their support flash before I even landed. Worth.

Compared to other Pantheon skins like Perseus or Dragonslayer, Ruthless keeps things simple but effective. Perseus has those fancy golden effects sure, but sometimes less is more when you're trying to CS properly or judge your W range for an all in. The cleaner animations on Ruthless actually help with combo timing, especially when you're trying to weave autos between abilities. Not gonna lie, it's purely cosmetic advantage wise, but the psychological diff when enemies see this absolute unit of a spartan marching at them is real.

Is Ruthless Pantheon worth it if you main him? For 520 RP absolutely. My experience with Ruthless Pantheon convinced me that sometimes the older, simpler skins age better than the flashy new ones. Perfect for anyone who wants that intimidating presence without the visual clutter.
