Rusty Blitzcrank

Picked up Rusty Blitzcrank from a mystery chest last week and honestly wasn't expecting much from this old school skin. After about 40 games though, this thing grew on me way more than I thought it would. The weathered metal aesthetic actually makes the champion feel heavier and more impactful when you're roaming around the rift.

The Q hook animation feels slightly different from base Blitzcrank, maybe it's just me but the rusted chain seems easier to track visually which helps with predicting where it'll land. His W speed boost has this satisfying mechanical grinding sound that makes you feel like you're really pushing this old robot to its limits. And the E knockup has this metallic clang that's honestly more satisfying than most of his other skins. During a dragon fight yesterday, I landed a perfect hook on their fed ADC through the pit wall and the impact sound was so crisp that my whole team got hyped.

Compared to other Blitzcrank skins like Piltover Customs or even iBlitzcrank, Rusty feels more grounded and readable. The hitbox visibility is actually cleaner than some of his flashier skins which can sometimes obscure exactly where your model ends. It's purely cosmetic but the aged metal theme makes every ability feel like it has more weight behind it. Worth the 520 RP if you catch it in the shop rotation.

Is Rusty Blitzcrank worth it for support mains who want something different? Absolutely. It won't make you land more hooks but it'll make the ones you do land feel way more satisfying. Plus nobody expects the rusty robot to pop off in lane.
