After maining Fiddle since season 8 and collecting every skin except Bandito, I finally grabbed Risen during the last essence emporium. This skin completely changes how his fear feels to use, making the tether way more visible than base or even Surprise Party. The sandy particles that swirl around enemies give you instant feedback on whether you're in range, which honestly saved me from inting multiple times when I'm trying to fear their fed ADC.
The ult is where Risen really shines compared to other Fiddlesticks skins. That initial sand explosion when you channel makes it super obvious you're about to pop off, but the actual blink feels cleaner than Praetorian's clunky teleport animation. Just yesterday I was defending dragon pit and the enemy team couldn't tell if I was ulting from behind the wall because the channel particles blend with the terrain so well. Managed to get a triple because they face-checked right into my full channel. The W drain tether looks thicker too, almost like Dark Candy but without the Christmas vibes that tilt me in July.
Is Risen Fiddlesticks worth it? For 1350 RP it's probably the best clarity upgrade you can get. The E bounce indicators are way easier to track in teamfights than base skin, and I think the auto attack animation cancels smoother when you're trying to CS early. It's not quite pay-to-win but definitely gives you small advantages over something like Spectral where everything looks muddy. My experience with Risen Fiddlesticks after 55 games is that it's become my go-to for ranked, beating out even my beloved Surprise Party. If you're serious about climbing with Fiddle, grab this one over the newer skins.
