Got Riot Graves from a chest last week and honestly wasn't expecting much from this old school skin. After around 40 games though, I'm actually impressed with how clean it feels compared to base Graves. The police theme might seem basic at first but there's something satisfying about the authority vibe when you're dominating lane.
The Q feels way more responsive than default, probably because the animation is less cluttered without all those smoke effects. Your W smokescreen actually looks like a proper flashbang which makes more sense thematically and I swear enemies react slower to it. But the real difference is his ult. That siren sound before firing gives it so much more impact, and during a dragon fight yesterday, I noticed my team actually played around my ult better because the audio cue is clearer. Landed a triple kill stealing baron because the enemy team didn't respect the windup sound enough.
Compared to other Graves skins like Pool Party or Mafia, Riot Graves sits in this weird spot where it's not flashy but everything just works better. The auto attack animation feels smoother for CS'ing, especially under tower. Is Riot Graves worth it if you're a Graves main? Absolutely, but not for the reasons you'd think. This isn't about looking cool, it's about having cleaner visuals that actually help you play better. The 975 RP price tag is worth it for the competitive edge alone. After using fancier skins like Praetorian, I keep coming back to this one when I need to pop off in ranked. Sometimes simple is better, and this skin proves it every game.
