Renektoy

Got Renektoy from a chest last month and wasn't expecting much from a toy crocodile, but after 50 games I'm actually impressed. The skin completely changes how his abilities feel, especially the W stun which has this satisfying squeaky toy sound that somehow makes timing it easier. His Q feels snappier with the foam sword animation, and I swear the cleaner animation helps me weave autos better between abilities.

The recall is pure comedy gold with him building a sandcastle, but what really sold me was a baron fight where I ulted into their backline. The bright colors and toy effects made their ADC panic flash instantly, probably because the ult looks more intimidating than it should with all those building blocks flying around. Compared to Pool Party Renekton which I used to main, Renektoy has better visibility in teamfights since the bright green really pops against river terrain. Pool Party's effects blend in too much during messy fights.

Is Renektoy worth it if you're considering buying? For 750 RP it's not exactly budget friendly, but the skin isn't pay to win despite feeling smoother. The E dash has this subtle bounce that makes animation canceling feel more responsive, though that might just be placebo. My experience with Renektoy surprised me since joke skins usually tilt me, but this one's genuinely well made.

If you're a Renekton main who wants something different from the edgy skins, this is actually worth grabbing on sale. The skin aged well since its release and still holds up compared to other Renekton skins. Just be ready for enemies to underestimate you until you pop off and show them toys can still hurt.
