Reaper Soraka

Picked up Reaper Soraka from a mystery chest last month and honestly wasn't expecting much since I main her with Star Guardian. After about 55 games though, this skin completely changed how I approach teamfights. The darker aesthetic isn't just edgy for the sake of it, there's something about the smoother cancel on her W that makes healing spam feel more responsive than any other skin I own.

The Q animation feels tighter compared to other Soraka skins, especially noticeable when you're trying to hit that clutch starcall during a dragon fight. Last night we were contesting soul and I swear the projectile clarity helped me land three Qs in a row through the chaos, keeping our fed ADC alive long enough to ace them. Her E silence zone has this purple mist that's actually easier to track in messy 5v5s than the bright circles on Pajama Guardian. And the ult? When you pop it, there's this dark pulse effect that somehow feels more impactful even though the heal timing is identical.

Is Reaper Soraka worth it if you already own Star Guardian or Dawnbringer? Probably not unless you're collecting or really vibe with the aesthetic. But compared to base Soraka, it's a massive upgrade in feel. The animations are less clunky across the board, and while it's not pay to win, the visual clarity on abilities definitely helps in ranked. For 1350 RP it's a bit steep considering it doesn't have unique voice lines, but if you catch it on sale and play Soraka regularly, you won't regret it. My experience with Reaper Soraka convinced me to keep it as my tryhard skin when I need every advantage I can get.
