Picked up Ravager Nocturne from a mystery chest last week and wasn't expecting much from this old skin, but after around 40 games I'm actually surprised how clean it feels compared to base Nocturne. The model looks dated sure, but there's something about the animations that just works better than I thought it would.

The Q trail feels way more visible than base skin, especially when you're trying to land it through minion waves for that movement speed boost. His ult has this darker overlay that makes it easier to track enemies during the chaos, and I've noticed my tower dives feel more confident because I can actually see what I'm doing through all the particles. But the real difference is the E tether animation being less clunky than standard. Last night during a dragon fight, I managed to fear their fed Jinx right as she tried to flash away, and the tether clarity made it obvious I had the range where normally I'd be guessing. Compared to Eternum Nocturne which everyone says is pay to win, Ravager actually gives similar visual advantages without the robot aesthetic that some people find tilting to play against.

Is Ravager Nocturne worth it if you're looking at older skins? Probably not if you already own Coven or Hextech, but for 520 RP from the shop it's decent value for Nocturne mains who want something different without breaking bank. The skin aged better than most from that era and while it's purely cosmetic advantage wise, the cleaner animations do make a small difference. I'm keeping it in my rotation alongside Frozen Terror, though I still think Coven remains his best skin overall.
