Got PsyOps Shen from a chest last month and honestly didn't expect much since I usually run Warlord or Infernal. After about 50 games though, this skin completely changed my mind about what makes a good Shen skin worth using.
The Q feels way more responsive compared to other Shen skins, especially when you're trying to pull the blade through multiple enemies in teamfights. That purple energy trail makes it super clear where your empowered autos are going to land, which matters when you're trying to CS under tower while watching for roams. But the real difference is the ult shield visibility. I was in a dragon fight yesterday where my ADC was getting dove and I could actually see exactly when my shield would pop through all the ability spam. With base Shen or even Pulsefire, that shield sometimes gets lost in the visual noise and your carry doesn't know they're protected. The taunt animation also has a cleaner cancel window, which probably saved me from inting at least three times when I needed to flash out of bad engages.
Is PsyOps Shen worth it compared to other Shen skins? For 1350 RP it's actually one of his better options. The skin isn't pay to win or anything, but those clearer animations definitely help in clutch moments. My experience with PsyOps Shen convinced me it's more than just purple effects slapped on our ninja boy. If you're a Shen main who plays him regularly, this one's worth grabbing next time it's in your shop. The visual clarity alone makes those cross map ults way less stressful when every second counts.
