PROJECT: Varus

Just picked up PROJECT: Varus after seeing a streamer absolutely dominate with it, and after 50 games I can see why this skin gets so much attention. The cyberpunk aesthetic isn't just eye candy, it actually changes how the champion feels to play.

The Q charge feels more responsive compared to base Varus, with that satisfying energy buildup sound that makes timing your release easier. His W stacks are way more visible with those bright orange markers, which is insane for tracking your damage in chaotic teamfights. But the real game changer is his ult animation being clearer than something like Arclight Varus where the tendril can get lost in bright terrain. Last night during a dragon fight, I landed a max range ult through three enemies because I could actually see the projectile path perfectly against the river walls. That play probably wouldn't have happened on Dark Star where everything blends together.

Is PROJECT: Varus worth it compared to other Varus skins? For 1350 RP it's not just cosmetic, you're getting legitimate clarity advantages. The auto attack animation feels less clunky than base, making it easier to CS and kite properly. I've tried Cosmic Hunter and Infernal, but PROJECT just hits different when you need to pop off in ranked. The recall animation alone tilts enemies when you're fed.

If you're a Varus main or even just play him occasionally, this skin is worth grabbing. And before anyone asks, no it's not pay to win, but those cleaner animations definitely help you perform better. Maybe wait for a sale if you're on a budget, but I'd recommend it at full price for anyone serious about climbing with Varus.
