PROJECT: Gangplank

Got PROJECT: Gangplank from a chest last month and honestly didn't expect much since I'm usually running Captain or Dreadnova. After about 70 games though, this skin's grown on me way more than I thought it would.

The Q feels insanely responsive compared to base Gangplank. Where the pistol shot usually has that slight delay, PROJECT makes it feel instant, which helps a ton when you're trying to last hit under tower or poke through minions. His barrels are probably the biggest upgrade though. The holographic markers are super clear, and I swear the explosion radius is easier to judge in teamfights. Had a dragon fight yesterday where I perfectly chained three barrels through their whole team because the PROJECT effects made it way easier to see the connection range. The ult is crisp too, with those tech cannons dropping instead of regular cannonballs, making it clearer where each wave hits.

Compared to other Gangplank skins like Special Forces or Pool Party, PROJECT sits in this weird spot where it's actually helpful beyond just looking cool. Captain GP still has the cleanest animations overall, but PROJECT's barrel visibility gives it a slight edge in messy fights. The W animation is maybe a bit too flashy when you're trying to cleanse CC subtly, but that's minor. At 1350 RP it's not cheap, but if you're serious about GP and want something that feels smoother than base while looking futuristic, it's worth grabbing.

Is PROJECT: Gangplank worth it? For mains who want both style and a tiny competitive edge, absolutely. Just don't expect it to fix your barrel timing if you're still learning the champ.
