PROJECT: Akali

Just grabbed PROJECT: Akali from a chest last week and honestly wasn't expecting much since I usually rock KDA All Out. After about 35 games though, this skin's grown on me in ways I didn't see coming.

The Q feels way more responsive than base skin, especially when you're weaving autos between throws. Her E actually has cleaner animation cancels that I swear make combos flow better. But the real game changer is the shroud visibility. Yesterday I was getting camped hard by their jungler and the neon outline when you're in W makes it so much easier to track your position during chaotic fights. Lost count of how many tower dives I've survived because I could actually see myself properly in that electric smoke. The ult though feels slightly different timing wise, maybe it's just the cyberpunk dash effect messing with my head but I've been whiffing more R2s than usual.

Compared to other Akali skins like True Damage or even Silverfang, PROJECT sits somewhere in the middle. It's not as smooth as KDA All Out but definitely beats most of her older skins for clarity. The 1350 RP price feels worth it if you're an Akali main who wants something different. Not quite pay to win but there's definitely some competitive advantage with the cleaner animations. My experience with PROJECT: Akali has been surprisingly positive even though the futuristic theme isn't usually my thing.

If you already own a premium Akali skin you're probably fine skipping this one. But for anyone looking to upgrade from base or wanting their first skin, PROJECT delivers enough visual clarity and smooth gameplay to justify the purchase.
