Got Prestige Pulsefire Thresh from rerolling shards last month and wasn't expecting much since I already main Dark Star. After around 50 games though, this skin completely changed my mind about what a prestige should be.
The Q windup feels noticeably smoother than base Thresh and even Dark Star. Where Dark Star has that cosmic delay, Prestige Pulsefire's hook animation is crisp and the hitbox visibility is insane for both you and enemies. His E feels more responsive too, especially when you need those clutch flays during tower dives. I remember this one dragon fight where their fed Kai'Sa tried to ult in, and the flay animation was so clear I could time it perfectly without second guessing. The lantern probably has the best visibility of any Thresh skin, glowing bright enough that even tilted ADCs can't miss it.
Compared to other Thresh skins like Spirit Blossom or High Noon, this one's purely cosmetic but somehow makes me play better. The animations are cleaner without being pay to win, and the exclusive prestige effects during his ult make team fights feel more intense. My experience with Prestige Pulsefire Thresh has been worth every mythic essence I didn't spend to get it.
Is Prestige Pulsefire Thresh worth it? If you're a Thresh main who values clean animations over flashy effects, absolutely. The skin won't make you land more hooks, but it'll make the ones you do land feel satisfying as hell. For anyone else, maybe wait for Spirit Blossom to return instead since that one's got more unique sound effects for the same tier.
