Got this from a reroll after hitting 500k mastery on Lucian last month and honestly wasn't expecting much from another Prestige skin. After about 80 games though, I'm actually impressed with how Prestige Pulsefire Lucian feels compared to other Lucian skins, especially my previous go-to High Noon.
The Q animation feels way smoother than base Lucian, making those quick trades in lane more responsive when you're trying to weave autos between abilities. His E dash has this satisfying digital effect that makes the distance clearer, which probably saved me a few times when dodging skillshots by pixels. And the ult is where this skin really shines with better visibility on the beam edges, making it easier to track enemies trying to sidestep out of The Culling. During a baron fight yesterday, I managed to secure it through the pit wall because I could actually see where my ult was hitting compared to regular Pulsefire where the effects blend together.
Compared to High Noon Lucian which I mained forever, this one's definitely more about clarity than style. High Noon has that sick gunslinger vibe but Prestige Pulsefire just plays cleaner, especially when you're fed and need to track everything in chaotic teamfights. The exclusive nature makes it feel special but it's not pay-to-win or anything, just nice quality of life improvements that make playing him feel less clunky overall.
Is Prestige Pulsefire Lucian worth it if you main him? If you can get your hands on it through crafting or rerolls, absolutely grab it. The technical improvements alone make it my new favorite for ranked, even though I'll still pull out High Noon when I'm feeling nostalgic.
