After grinding 80 games with Prestige PROJECT: Zed, I can honestly say this skin changes how the champion feels mechanically. The Q animation is noticeably cleaner than base Zed, making those max range pokes in lane feel more consistent. And the W shadow placement has this subtle golden trail that actually helps track your shadows better in messy teamfights.
The biggest difference is probably the ult execution. Where Championship Zed feels clunky when you R someone near a wall, Prestige PROJECT has this smoother transition that makes tower dives way less awkward. Last night I dove their fed ADC under tier 2, and the cleaner animation let me dodge the Lux binding by maybe two frames. That's the kind of edge that matters when you're trying to pop off in ranked. The E spin also has better visibility with the golden particles, making it easier to see if you're gonna hit multiple targets for the slow.
Is Prestige PROJECT: Zed worth it? Compared to other Zed skins like Galaxy Slayer, this one sits in a weird spot. Galaxy Slayer has flashier effects but Prestige PROJECT actually gives you slight clarity advantages without being pay to win. The exclusive nature means you're either burning mythic essence or catching it in the shop rotation, which is a bit steep for what you get. But if you're a Zed main who wants something that looks insane while giving you those tiny mechanical benefits, it's worth considering.
My experience with Prestige PROJECT: Zed convinced me to keep it as my main skin. The golden aesthetic might be cringe but good for some players, but the technical improvements make it my go to for ranked games where every millisecond counts.
