After 90 games with Prestige Dark Star Malphite, I'm convinced this skin completely changes how the champion feels to play. Most people focus on the flashy cosmic effects, but what really matters is how much cleaner the Q animation feels when you're trying to poke in lane. The projectile travels with this distinct purple trail that makes it easier to track whether you're landing your harass or not.

The ult is where this skin really shines though. That cosmic explosion when you hit R feels insane and the impact zone is way more visible than base Malphite or even Mecha Malphite which I used for years. Just yesterday in a dragon fight, I caught their ADC and support with an ult from fog and my team instantly knew exactly where to follow up because the crater effect is so clear. Your W gets this sick purple glow that makes you look fed even when you're 0/3, and the E ground slam has better visibility for both you and enemies which is probably why some people call it pay to lose. But honestly the smoother cancel on your auto attacks after abilities makes trading feel less clunky compared to other Malphite skins.

Is Prestige Dark Star Malphite worth it? As someone who owns most Malphite skins, this one sits at the top with Mecha Kingdom. The exclusive availability makes it special but even without that factor, my experience with Prestige Dark Star Malphite has been nothing but positive. And while it won't make you suddenly pop off if you can't hit ults, it definitely makes the champion feel more responsive overall. For Malphite mains or anyone who plays him regularly, this is an easy recommendation.
