After 90 games with Prestige Blood Moon Aatrox, I can finally give you the real verdict on this exclusive skin that's been sitting in my collection since the event. Most people focus on the golden effects, but what actually matters is how this skin performs when you're trying to carry games.
The Q sweet spots feel cleaner to land compared to base Aatrox, and I'm pretty sure the visual clarity helps me hit more knockups in teamfights. Your W chains stand out way better against river terrain, which saved my ass during a baron fight yesterday when I caught their fed Jinx trying to reposition. The ult transformation is probably the best part though, with that golden glow making it super obvious when you're about to pop off. Playing with default Aatrox after using this feels clunky, especially when animation canceling your Q into E. Mecha Aatrox still has smoother autos for CS'ing, but Prestige Blood Moon wins for ability visibility.
Is Prestige Blood Moon Aatrox worth it if you main him? Absolutely, but not because it's pay to win or anything. The hitbox indicators are just easier to read in messy fights, and when you're fed, enemies definitely tilt harder seeing that golden demon diving their backline. My experience with Prestige Blood Moon Aatrox convinced three friends to craft it before the event ended. Compared to other Aatrox skins, this one strikes the perfect balance between looking insane and actually helping your gameplay. If you can still get it through hextech or see it in Your Shop, don't sleep on it.
