Been spamming Prehistoric Cho'Gath for about 55 games now after grabbing it from a mystery chest, and honestly it's become my go-to skin over Dark Star. The model itself looks pretty sick with the whole dinosaur vibe, but what really sold me was how clean the Q feels compared to base skin. That rupture animation has this satisfying crunch to it that makes landing knockups feel way better, and I swear the hitbox indicator is clearer than most other skins.
The feast animation is probably the best part though. When you ult someone, there's this primal roar that just feels more impactful than the standard chomp. Had this insane dragon fight yesterday where I got a triple feast stack combo, and the whole prehistoric theme made it feel like I was actually this apex predator hunting down prey. My E spikes look way more threatening too, almost like bone spikes jutting out, which definitely helps with intimidation factor in lane. But compared to other Cho'Gath skins like Gentleman or Battlecast, you're losing some of the smoother animation cancels that those premium skins offer.
Is Prehistoric Cho'Gath worth it? For 750 RP, it's actually solid value if you're a Cho main looking for something different. It's purely cosmetic, not pay-to-win or anything, but the visual clarity on abilities is genuinely helpful when you're trying to CS under tower or land crucial Qs in teamfights. My experience with Prehistoric Cho'Gath has been surprisingly positive for what I thought would be just another meme skin. If you already own Dark Star or Battlecast, maybe skip it, but for anyone building their Cho collection, this one's definitely worth considering.
