Five hundred games deep with Pre-Void Kassadin and I'm still discovering little things that make this skin feel better than base. Most people probably think it's just a visual downgrade since he looks more human, but the cleaner animations actually help me land combos more consistently.
The Q feels snappier when you're trying to weave it between autos during early trades. His E projectile is way easier to track in messy teamfights compared to Cosmic Reaver where everything gets lost in purple sparkles. And the ult animation has this subtle wind-up that makes R flash combos more responsive somehow. Last night I was getting dove under tower by a fed Katarina and the clarity on my E let me time the slow perfectly to turn it around. With base skin I might've whiffed that completely since the projectile blends into Summoner's Rift too much.
Compared to other Kassadin skins this one's purely cosmetic but in a good way. Cosmic Reaver might look insane but Pre-Void actually helps you play better through visual clarity alone. The simpler effects mean less screen clutter when you're trying to CS while poking with Q. Worth the 520 RP if you're planning to grind ranked with him since you won't tilt yourself trying to see what's happening in dragon fights.
Is Pre-Void Kassadin worth it? For anyone who plays him regularly, absolutely. The skin won't make you pop off harder but it removes those tiny visual annoyances that add up over hundreds of games. My experience with Pre-Void Kassadin convinced me that sometimes less flashy means more functional.
