Pool Party Orianna caught my eye after seeing Doinb absolutely demolish with it during Worlds, and I had to see if the skin actually gave any competitive edge. After around 80 games split between ranked and normals, I can confidently say this skin feels smoother than most of her other options, especially compared to Dark Star which I mained for two seasons.
The Q ball toss has this satisfying splash effect that makes max range positioning way easier to gauge during teamfights. Her W feels snappier somehow, probably because the water explosion animation is less cluttered than the base skin's mechanical effects. But the real difference is her ult, which has this whirlpool telegraph that's actually harder for enemies to react to since it blends with river fights perfectly. I remember this one dragon fight where their Ezreal literally walked into my ult because he couldn't distinguish it from the terrain effects happening around pit. The E shield looks clean too with its bubble aesthetic, though it's purely visual and doesn't affect gameplay at all.
Comparing Pool Party Orianna to other skins in her lineup, it sits right below Winter Wonder for clarity but way above Gothic or Sewn Chaos. The 1350 RP price is worth it if you're an Orianna main who values cleaner animations over flashy effects. It's definitely not pay to win, but those smoother ball movements and clearer hitbox indicators can make the difference between landing that game winning shockwave or watching your team ff at 20.
Is Pool Party Orianna worth it? If you're serious about climbing with her, absolutely grab it. The skin won't make you faker overnight, but it removes just enough visual noise to let your mechanics shine through.
