Pool Party Heimerdinger

Pool Party Heimerdinger might be the most underrated skin in his collection, and after 80 games with it, I'm convinced it's actually better than Dragon Trainer for clarity. The water effects completely change how you perceive his abilities, making everything feel more fluid and less clunky than base Heimerdinger.

The Q turrets are where this skin really shines. Those little water cannons have cleaner animations that make last hitting under tower way easier, and the projectiles are brighter against Summoner's Rift terrain. Your W rockets become water balloons that arc more visibly, which sounds minor but makes a huge difference when you're trying to poke through minion waves. And the ult is probably the best part. The giant sand castle turret feels more responsive when placing it, with a smoother cancel animation if you need to reposition quickly. I remember this one dragon fight where my team was getting destroyed, but I managed to zone three enemies with the ult turret because they could actually see the threat radius better than with other skins.

Compared to other Heimerdinger skins like Alien Invader, Pool Party just feels less visually noisy. Everything reads cleaner in teamfights. The E grenade becoming a beach ball is maybe the only downside since it's slightly harder to hide in bushes, but honestly that's worth the trade off for how much better everything else feels. At 1350 RP it's not cheap, but if you're planning to main Heimerdinger or already have decent games on him, this skin genuinely improves your gameplay experience. Not quite pay to win, but definitely pay to play smoother. My experience with Pool Party Heimerdinger convinced me to refund Piltover Customs because this one just hits different in ranked.
