Pool Party Draven feels completely different from his other skins once you get used to the water balloon axes. After about 55 games with it, I'm convinced this is the smoothest Draven skin for catching axes consistently.
The Q axes are water balloons that make a satisfying splash sound when you catch them, and honestly the visual clarity is insane compared to Gladiator or Soul Reaver. Your W speed boost has this beach party vibe with flip flop sounds that's cringe but good, making it easier to track when it's active. The ult throws two massive pool noodles that are way easier to see in teamfights than his standard spinning blades. I was fighting for dragon yesterday and landed a perfect ult through three enemies because I could actually track the noodles through all the spell effects. Base Draven's ult would've gotten lost in that chaos.
Compared to other Draven skins like Primetime, Pool Party has cleaner animation cancels between autos and catching axes. The catch indicator is this bright blue circle that pops way more than the standard red, especially on river fights. And the skin is purely cosmetic, no pay to win advantages, but the visual improvements alone make CSing feel better. The recall where he lounges on a chair is whatever, but everything else about this skin makes Draven feel more responsive.
Is Pool Party Draven worth it? If you're a Draven main who wants the best visual clarity for axes, absolutely grab this. The 975 RP price tag is worth the improved gameplay feel. My experience with Pool Party Draven convinced me to refund Beast Hunter because this one just hits different when you're trying to pop off in lane.
