Pentakill Yorick

After 120 games with Pentakill Yorick, I can honestly say this skin hits different than his other options. As someone who owns most Yorick skins, comparing this one to Arclight or Meowrick really shows how much the metal aesthetic changes your entire lane presence.

The Q feels way more responsive compared to base skin, with that guitar slam animation reading cleaner in teamfights. Your ghouls actually look threatening with their little metal outfits instead of just being annoying minions, and the W cage has this sick stage light effect that makes it easier to track in messy fights. But the real game changer is his ult. Maiden looks absolutely insane with the ghostly vocalist vibe, and I swear enemies respect her more just because she looks scarier. During a baron fight yesterday, the enemy ADC actually flashed away from Maiden alone, probably because she's way more visible with that glowing effect compared to something like Resistance Yorick where she blends into the pit.

Is Pentakill Yorick worth it though? For 975 RP, you're getting solid value if you actually play the champion. The skin aged surprisingly well for being from 2017, and while it's not pay to win, the clearer animations definitely help with timing your combos. My experience with Pentakill Yorick compared to other Yorick skins puts it firmly in second place behind Arclight but way ahead of his newer releases.

If you're a Yorick main who wants something that feels smooth without breaking the bank, grab this over Resistance or Meowrick. The metal theme might seem cringe but good once you're splitting and taking inhibs while your team ints at dragon. Should you buy Pentakill Yorick? Absolutely worth if you play him more than occasionally.
