Finally grabbed Papercraft Anivia after watching a streamer absolutely pop off with it last week, and after 50 games I can see why this skin gets so much attention. The geometric design isn't just eye candy, it actually makes landing combos feel way smoother than base Anivia or even Blackfrost.
The Q projectile stands out insanely well with those sharp paper edges, making it easier to track for reactivation timing. Wall placement feels more precise too since the origami aesthetic gives cleaner visual boundaries compared to other Anivia skins. But what really sold me was during a baron fight yesterday where I needed to zone their fed Jinx. The ult's paper storm effect is so distinct that even in the chaos of five ults going off, my team could clearly see the danger zone and play around it properly. That visibility probably won us the game since their ADC couldn't position aggressively without eating full ult damage.
Comparing this to Festival Queen which I mained before, Papercraft wins on clarity every time. Festival Queen's particles blend together in teamfights but Papercraft keeps everything crisp and readable. The egg passive looks incredible too with the paper folding animation, though I'll admit it's purely cosmetic there. At 1350 RP it's definitely worth it if you're serious about playing Anivia. This isn't pay to win but the cleaner animations do help with reaction times on Q reactivation and wall placement.
Is Papercraft Anivia worth it? For anyone who plays her regularly, absolutely. The visual clarity alone makes it my go to skin now, and I don't think I can go back to Festival Queen after experiencing how clean everything feels with Papercraft.
