Odyssey Malphite

Got this from a chest last month and wasn't expecting much since I mainly rock Mecha Malphite, but after around 50 games I'm actually shocked how clean Odyssey Malphite feels compared to other Malphite skins. The Q animation has this satisfying projectile trail that makes it easier to track in teamfights, and the E feels way more responsive than base skin where sometimes you wonder if it actually went off.

What really sold me was during a baron fight where the enemy team was stacked in pit. My ult indicator is noticeably clearer with the space theme effects, and I swear the animation cancel into E feels smoother than any other skin I've used. Even my duo noticed the difference when I let him try it. The W shield has this distinct visual that makes it obvious when it's up, which honestly helps both you and your team track cooldowns better. But the real game changer is how the passive shield looks completely different from the W, something that Shamrock and Glacial don't do well.

Is Odyssey Malphite worth it? If you're a Malphite main who values clarity, probably yes. It's not pay to win but the visual improvements genuinely help in clutch moments. The recall animation where he transforms into a spaceship is just icing on the cake. My experience with Odyssey Malphite convinced me to keep it over Mecha which I thought I'd never say. For anyone on the fence, wait for Your Shop or hope you get lucky with a chest like I did. The 1350 RP price is fair but there's no rush unless you're trying to complete the Odyssey set.
