Midnight Ahri

Picked up Midnight Ahri from a chest last week and honestly wasn't expecting much since I usually rock Spirit Blossom. After around 40 games though, this skin's grown on me in ways I didn't see coming.

The Q feels snappier somehow, like the orb travels with more weight behind it. Maybe it's the darker particles but landing those return hits seems easier to track in teamfights. Her E charm has this purple trail that's actually harder for enemies to see coming compared to base Ahri, which I noticed when diving their ADC near dragon pit yesterday. The guy literally walked into it because the projectile blends with river terrain. And the ult dashes have this shadowy afterimage that makes your movement less predictable. Spirit Blossom might be prettier but Midnight's animations feel more responsive when you need to kite or chase.

Is Midnight Ahri worth it compared to other Ahri skins? For 750 RP it's probably one of her best value picks. The skin itself looks a bit dated next to newer releases but the cleaner animation cancels make up for it. You're not getting fancy voice lines or unique recalls, just solid visuals that won't tilt you after 100 games. The purple and black color scheme works better on Summoner's Rift than I thought it would, especially in river skirmishes where bright skins can make you an obvious target.

If you're an Ahri main looking for something functional over flashy, grab this one. The visual clarity alone makes it worth considering, and at this price point you're getting more competitive advantage than most epic skins offer. Just don't expect to turn heads in champ select.
