Matador Alistar

Bought this skin after a brutal losing streak where I needed something to cheer me up, and honestly Matador Alistar became my good luck charm. After around 55 games with it, I can confidently say it's one of the most satisfying Alistar skins to play with, even if it's showing its age compared to newer releases.

The Q feels way more responsive than base Alistar, with that satisfying cape flourish making the knockup timing clearer for both you and your team. His W headbutt animation has this smooth bull charge vibe that just feels right, especially when you're going for those flash combos. During a baron fight yesterday, I landed a perfect five man Q and the matador pose he does afterward was so clean that even the enemy team complimented it in all chat. The E healing animation is subtle but the red glow matches the theme perfectly without being distracting. Compared to Moo Cow Alistar which I mained before, Matador lacks the funny cowbell spam but makes up for it with cleaner animations that don't tilt your ADC.

Is Matador Alistar worth it? For 975 RP it's probably one of the better value picks in his skin lineup. The skin is purely cosmetic with no real advantages, but the smoother cancel on his combo feels slightly better than base. My experience with Matador Alistar has been overwhelmingly positive, and while newer skins like Blackfrost have more effects, this one nails the classic bullfighter fantasy perfectly. If you're an Alistar main looking for something that won't get old after 100 games, this is definitely worth grabbing next time it's in your shop.
