Marauder Alistar

After grabbing this from a mystery chest last month, I've put in around 55 games with Marauder Alistar and honestly wasn't expecting to like it this much. The skin completely changes how his abilities feel compared to base Alistar or even something like Hextech that I used to main.

The Q animation feels way more responsive than base skin, with this satisfying crunch sound when you land it that makes combos feel cleaner. Your W headbutt has this brutal charge animation that somehow makes the hitbox feel more accurate, especially when you're trying to insun someone under tower. But the best part is probably his E stacks, which glow red and make it super obvious when you're about to pop off with that stun. During a baron fight yesterday, I managed to flash Q their entire backline because the wind up animation is just that much clearer than what I'm used to. The enemy ADC was tilted in all chat saying the skin made my combo look faster than usual.

Compared to other Alistar skins like Moo Cow or Conqueror, this one sits in a weird spot. It's not pay to win like some claim, but the animations definitely feel less clunky than older skins. The recall animation where he pounds his chest is pretty sick too. My experience with Marauder Alistar has been surprisingly positive for a 750 RP skin I never planned to use. If you're an Alistar main who wants something that feels smooth without breaking bank, this is worth grabbing on sale. Just don't expect the meme value of Moo Cow or the prestige feel of Blackfrost.
