Got the Lunar Emperor Thresh skin from a mystery chest last week and honestly wasn't expecting much since I usually rock Dark Star. After about 35 games though, this skin completely changed my mind about what makes a good Thresh cosmetic.
The Q windup feels way smoother than base Thresh and even compared to other skins. When you're trying to predict flash hooks in lane, that cleaner animation makes those split second adjustments feel more responsive. His E actually has this golden sweep effect that's easier to track in teamfights, which sounds minor but when you're peeling for your ADC against a fed Zed, every visual cue helps. And the ult walls have these jade pillars that pop way harder than most skins, making it super clear where the boundaries are during those messy dragon fights. I remember this one game where we were contesting soul, and I threw my box right as their Kayn went in. My team instantly recognized the walls because of how bright they are and we turned the whole fight around.
Compared to other Thresh skins like Championship or Blood Moon, Lunar Emperor sits in this weird spot where it's not trying too hard but still feels premium. The recall animation with the gong is probably the cleanest in his whole collection. It's definitely not pay to win, but the visual clarity on abilities gives you that tiny edge in reading situations. For 1350 RP it's actually worth considering if you play Thresh regularly. Dark Star still has the best hook sound, but Lunar Emperor Thresh wins on overall playability. If you main support and want something that looks good without being distracting, this is probably your best bet.
