Longhorn Alistar

A handful of the Old West's more pragmatic individuals have integrated into human society—the hulking minotaur Alistar among them. Working as muscle for hire, he can be found breaking up saloon fights as often as knocking down bank vault doors. If it pays, the longhorn's on board.

Been maining Alistar for three seasons now with over 500k mastery points, and I finally grabbed Longhorn during the last sale after watching it stomp my lane one too many times. After 120 games with this skin, I can honestly say it's become my go-to over Moo Cow and Black Alistar, which is saying something considering how much I loved those.

The Q feels noticeably cleaner animation wise compared to base Alistar. Where the default Pulverize sometimes feels like it has this weird delay, Longhorn's stomp connects exactly when you expect it to. His W headbutt has this satisfying thud that makes tower dives feel more impactful, and I swear the animation cancel between W and Q flows better. During a baron fight yesterday, I landed a five man combo that probably wouldn't have worked on base skin because the enemy Ezreal would've E'd out if the Q animation was any slower. The ult transformation is where this skin really shines though. You get this dust cloud effect that makes you feel like an actual raging bull, and enemies definitely respect it more than the basic purple glow.

Compared to other Alistar skins like Hextech or Unchained, Longhorn sits in this sweet spot of clarity without being obnoxious. It's not pay to win, but the smoother cancel definitely helps in high pressure situations. For 520 RP, you're getting solid value especially if you're planning to grind ranked with the cow. My experience with Longhorn Alistar has been nothing but positive, and while Moo Cow still has the best BM potential with the cowbell, this skin just feels more responsive in actual fights. Worth picking up if you play Alistar more than occasionally.
