Kitty Cat Katarina

Got Kitty Cat Katarina from a mystery chest last month and honestly wasn't expecting much from this older skin. After about 55 games though, I'm actually shocked at how clean it feels compared to other Katarina skins in my collection. The cat ears might look goofy at first but there's something about this skin that just clicks once you start playing it.

The Q daggers feel way more responsive than base skin, probably because of the pumpkin visual that's easier to track in teamfights. Her E blink has this satisfying poof effect that makes resetting feel smoother somehow. But the real difference is her ult animation where she spins with the cat tail flying around. Sounds cringe but good when you're fed and deleting their backline. During a baron fight yesterday, I noticed I could track my position better mid ult compared to Battle Queen which has all those flashy particles everywhere. The simpler effects actually help when you're trying to pop off in messy 5v5s.

Is Kitty Cat Katarina worth it compared to flashier options like Battle Academia or PROJECT? For 975 RP it's not purely cosmetic since the cleaner animations genuinely help with combo execution. The recall animation where she plays with the yarn ball gets old fast but who cares when you're too busy getting resets to back anyway. My experience with Kitty Cat Katarina surprised me since I usually prefer the newer skins with better effects.

If you main Kat and want something that won't tilt you with visual clutter, this skin's actually worth grabbing next time it shows up in Your Shop. Not pay to win but definitely pays to play smooth.
