Jurassic Kog’Maw

Got Jurassic Kog'Maw from a chest last week and honestly wasn't expecting much from this prehistoric boy. After around 40 games though, this skin completely changed how I view playing the void puppy. The model swap to a tiny dinosaur is hilarious but what really surprised me is how much cleaner the animations feel compared to base Kog'Maw.

The W feels way more responsive when you're kiting in teamfights, and I swear the auto attacks register faster even though it's probably just visual. His Q projectile looks like he's spitting a fossil which makes it easier to track in messy dragon fights. Last night we were contesting soul and I could actually see my ult landing through all the Seraphine abilities because the little dino eggs pop so clearly. Compare this to something like Pug'Maw where everything blends into brown fur and you can't tell what's happening half the time. The E puddle has this prehistoric tar pit vibe that makes spacing easier too.

Is Jurassic Kog'Maw worth it if you're thinking about buying? For 975 RP it's actually solid value compared to other Kog'Maw skins. It's purely cosmetic, not pay-to-win, but the visual clarity alone makes it better than most of his other options. The recall where he hatches from an egg gets old after a while but who cares when you're popping off in fights.

My experience with Jurassic Kog'Maw convinced me to actually main the champ. If you already play Kog or want a skin that won't tilt you with unclear visuals, grab it next time it's in your shop. Way better than I expected from a random chest drop.
