Jaximus

In a fighters' colosseum, Jax's victories were celebrated by a young kid and dedicated fan, Joe. Jax found that Joe himself was an incredible warrior, far braver than anyone Jax had met. Joe gave Jax the nickname “Jaximus,” a title he heartily accepted. “Here's to you, kid,” declared Jax as he charged into battle, hoisting the lamplight in Joe's honor.

Bought this after a brutal losing streak where I kept getting stomped by a Jaximus who seemed to dodge everything. Had to see if the skin actually made a difference or if I was just tilted from the losses. After around 55 games with it, I can honestly say this skin hits different from base Jax.

The W animation feels way smoother than default, making those clutch dodges in teamfights more responsive. Your E spin actually looks smaller visually which probably throws people off because I've been landing way more stuns than usual. The ult activation is super clean too, that gladiator glow makes it obvious when you're powered up without being too flashy. During a baron fight yesterday, I managed to pop off completely because the cleaner animation on my Q let me hop to their ADC right as they tried to flash away. The timing just feels tighter compared to something like God Staff where everything feels a bit delayed.

Compared to other Jax skins like Angler or Nemesis, Jaximus keeps things simple but effective. It's basically cosmetic only but the visual clarity is insane for tracking your abilities in messy fights. The skin aged really well considering how old it is, and knowing the story behind it makes every game feel more meaningful. Worth the 975 RP if you can find it in Your Shop or get lucky with a chest.

Is Jaximus worth it for serious Jax players? If you're looking for something that won't int your muscle memory while still feeling fresh, this is it. My experience with Jaximus convinced me that sometimes the older skins just work better for climbing.
