Got Ironscale Shyvana from a mystery chest last week and honestly wasn't expecting much since it's one of her older skins. After around 40 games though, I'm actually impressed with how clean it feels compared to base Shyvana. The metallic armor theme gives everything a sharper edge that just works.
The Q feels way more responsive than default, probably because the animation has this satisfying metallic clang when both hits connect. Her W burnout has this blue flame effect that's easier to track in teamfights, and I swear the dragon form E feels like it travels faster even though I know it doesn't. But the real difference is in dragon form where the model is bulkier and more intimidating. Had a game yesterday where we were contesting drake and the enemy Caitlyn literally flashed away when I ulted over the wall because the dragon silhouette looks massive with all that armor plating.
Compared to other Shyvana skins like Championship or Super Galaxy, Ironscale definitely shows its age but in a good way. It's simple and clean without all the particle spam that can make it hard to CS properly. Super Galaxy might have flashier effects but Ironscale just feels more consistent. The recall animation is basic but at 750 RP you're not paying for fancy animations anyway. Is Ironscale Shyvana worth it if you're a Shyvana main? Maybe not if you already own Championship, but for the price it's solid.
This skin is pure cosmetic with no real advantages, though the cleaner animations might help you cancel autos better. My experience with Ironscale Shyvana has been surprisingly positive for what I thought would be collection filler. Worth grabbing on sale if you play her occasionally.
