Iron Solari Leona

Got this skin from a chest last week and honestly wasn't expecting much since Iron Solari looks pretty basic in the splash art. After about 40 games though, I'm actually impressed with how clean it feels compared to other Leona skins, especially my usual go-to Solar Eclipse.

The Q stun animation feels way more responsive than base Leona, and the shield bash has this satisfying metallic clank that makes timing easier. Her W activation is probably the best part though, with this golden glow that's super clear in teamfights without being obnoxious. During a baron fight yesterday, I could actually track my W duration perfectly while the enemy Yasuo was going nuts with his ult. The E projectile is slightly thinner which threw me off at first, but now I'm hitting more max range engages because it's easier to thread between minions. Compared to Solar Eclipse which I mained for 200+ games, Iron Solari just feels less clunky overall.

Is Iron Solari Leona worth it? For 975 RP, it's not the flashiest skin but the cleaner animations make a real difference. The recall is pretty boring if I'm being honest, just some basic shield spinning, but you're not buying this for the visuals anyway. My experience with Iron Solari Leona has been surprisingly positive for what looks like a budget skin. It's definitely not pay-to-win, but those smoother animations might help you land one more engage per game.

If you're a Leona main who values gameplay feel over flashy effects, this skin's actually insane value. Otherwise maybe wait for a sale or hope you get lucky with a chest like I did.
