Ionia Master Yi

Master Yi main here with 500k+ mastery points, and I gotta say something about Ionia Master Yi that most people don't realize. This skin completely changes how your Q feels during teamfights, making it way smoother to track who you're hitting compared to base or even PROJECT. After spamming this for around 150 games, I'm convinced it's the best skin for actually climbing with Yi.

The Alpha Strike animation is insanely clean, and you can actually tell when you're about to pop out of it better than any other skin. Your E true damage feels more responsive too, probably because the blue glow is easier to track in messy fights. But the real difference is during Highlander. The ult animation has this subtle wind effect that doesn't clutter your screen like Cosmic Blade does. Last night I was getting collapsed on at dragon, popped ult and managed to dodge three skillshots just because I could see everything clearly while weaving through their team. Got a triple and we turned the game around.

Is Ionia Master Yi worth it compared to other Master Yi skins? Absolutely. It's not pay to win exactly, but the cleaner animations definitely give you an edge when you're trying to CS under tower or time your Q to dodge crucial abilities. The skin aged incredibly well for something this old, and honestly makes newer skins like PsyOps feel clunky in comparison.

For any Yi mains out there, this is the one skin I'd recommend over everything else in his collection. The clarity advantage alone makes it worth grabbing whenever it shows up in Your Shop.
