Infiltrator Irelia

Been spamming Infiltrator Irelia for about 100 games now and honestly, compared to other Irelia skins this one hits different. The cyber aesthetic grew on me way more than I expected, especially coming from someone who usually rocks Divine Sword or High Noon.

The Q resets feel insanely smooth on this skin, probably the cleanest animation cancels I've experienced on any Irelia skin. Her E placement has this distinct digital sound that makes it easier to track in teamfights, and the ult projectile is way more visible than base skin which actually helps with landing those crucial engages. During a baron fight yesterday, I managed to hit a 4-man ult purely because the neon blue trail was so clear against the river terrain. My experience with Infiltrator Irelia has been mostly positive, though the W channel animation takes some getting used to since it's less obvious when you're fully charged compared to something like Frostblade.

Is Infiltrator Irelia worth it? For 975 RP it's definitely on the pricier side, but the smoother Q animations alone make it feel less clunky than most of her roster. The recall animation where she phases through that digital portal is pretty sick too. It's not quite pay-to-win but there's definitely a slight clarity advantage with those ability indicators.

If you're an Irelia main who wants something fresh without sacrificing competitive edge, this skin delivers. Should you buy Infiltrator Irelia over PROJECT or Divine Sword though? That's tough. PROJECT has better sound effects but Infiltrator wins on visual clarity. I'd say grab it next time it goes on sale if you're not desperate for a new look right now.
