Infernal Vel’Koz

Scarce is known of Vel'Koz, owing to the fact that most who witness him combust at his mere presence. What is known, however, is that this cataclysmic titan can level entire civilizations with his incinerating gaze, leaving only smouldering ruin. Woe be to those fixed in the behemoth's infernal gaze, for there will be no remains left to bury.

After 35 games with Infernal Vel'Koz, I gotta say this skin completely changed how I play the tentacle boy. Been maining him since season 8 with around 600k mastery points, and while Battlecast was my go-to for years, this fire demon aesthetic hits different. The 1350 RP price felt steep at first but my experience with Infernal Vel'Koz proved it's actually worth every penny.

The Q feels so much smoother than base skin, especially when you're trying to hit those geometry angles in lane. That fire trail makes it easier to track where your plasma's going, which sounds minor but makes a huge difference when you're poking through minions. Your W eruption has this satisfying magma burst that's way clearer than Battlecast's mechanical thump. But the real game changer is the ult. That demonic laser beam is probably the cleanest animation cancel I've seen on any Vel skin. Had a dragon fight yesterday where I melted their fed Jinx from fog and she typed "wtf was that damage" in all chat. The visual clarity on the laser is insane compared to other Vel'Koz skins, you can actually tell exactly where the beam ends.

Is Infernal Vel'Koz worth it for support mains who occasionally get autofilled mid? Absolutely. The E knockup has this subtle fire ring that makes it easier to judge the hitbox, something Arclight doesn't have despite being the same price. This isn't pay to win but it's close. The smoother animations genuinely help you land combos better. And compared to Definitely Not Vel'Koz which feels clunky as hell, Infernal makes you feel like you're actually piloting a raid boss. Should you buy Infernal Vel'Koz? If you play him more than twice a week, don't even hesitate.
