After spamming around 80 games with Infernal Amumu this month, I'm honestly torn on whether this skin is worth the 1350 RP price. The fire effects look sick but there's something about the Q bandage toss that throws me off compared to base skin.
The biggest difference you'll notice is how the W Despair feels way more oppressive with those flame particles swirling around you. During a baron fight yesterday, the enemy ADC literally walked into my ult range because they couldn't tell where my W damage zone ended through all the visual chaos. The ultimate explosion is probably the cleanest animation upgrade though, with that expanding fire ring that makes it super obvious when you've caught someone. But here's the weird part about the Q skillshot. It feels faster somehow even though I know it's not, and I've been missing more bandages than usual. Maybe it's the darker color scheme making it harder to track against certain terrain.
Compared to other Amumu skins like Surprise Party, Infernal definitely feels more serious and less tilt-inducing for enemies. The recall animation where he burns into ash is pretty cool but nothing special. What bugs me is the auto attack animation feels less clunky than base skin, which shouldn't matter on Amumu but somehow makes last hitting in jungle camps smoother. Is Infernal Amumu worth it for mains? If you're looking for clarity in teamfights, actually no. The skin makes everything harder to see in messy situations. But if you want to feel like a legitimate threat instead of a sad mummy, this skin absolutely changes how enemies perceive you. Just be ready to int a few Qs while you adjust to the visual difference.
