After maining Alistar for three seasons with 500k+ mastery points, I finally grabbed Infernal Alistar when it went on sale last month. My friends kept asking if it was worth picking up compared to other Alistar skins, and honestly, after 120 games with it, I'm pretty convinced this is his best skin for serious climbing.

The W-Q combo feels way smoother on this skin than base or even Moo Cow. Something about the fire effects makes the animation cancel cleaner, and I swear I'm landing more flash combos since switching. His Q pulverize has this satisfying volcanic eruption that makes the hitbox super clear for both you and enemies. The E heal particles are probably the weakest part visually, but during a recent dragon fight where we were getting poked out, I could actually track who had my heal stacks better than with Hextech or Unchained. And his ult transformation is insane when you pop it for a tower dive. The growing flames and size increase make enemies panic int their flashes way more often.

Compared to Moo Cow which I used religiously before this, Infernal just offers better clarity in teamfights. The cowbell is fun but the fire effects help me track my cooldowns without looking at the bar. The recall animation where he pounds the ground and creates a lava pool is sick too. Is Infernal Alistar worth it? For support mains who play him regularly, absolutely. It's not quite pay-to-win but the visual clarity gives you a slight edge, especially in messy 5v5s. If you're choosing between this and another epic skin for him, Infernal wins every time.
