Got Highland Tryndamere from a mystery chest last month and honestly wasn't expecting much from this 520 RP skin. After about 40 games with it though, I'm actually surprised how clean it feels compared to base Tryndamere. The kilt and Scottish warrior vibe is pretty cringe but good once you get used to it.

The auto attacks feel way smoother than default, especially when you're trying to CS under tower or during those close trades where every hit counts. His E spin has this cleaner animation that makes it easier to judge the hitbox when you're diving their backline. And the ult sound is actually quieter which I think helps since enemies don't immediately notice you popped it in teamfights. Last night I tower dove a fed Vayne and she definitely reacted slower to my ult compared to when I use King or Viking Tryndamere skins.

Compared to other Tryndamere skins like Demonblade which costs triple the price, Highland holds up surprisingly well. Sure you don't get fancy particles or a new recall, but the model itself aged decently for something this old. The sword looks chunky enough to feel impactful when you crit, and the whole Scottish warrior aesthetic grows on you after a while. It's purely cosmetic with no real advantages, but the subtle animation improvements make it worth considering if you main the champion.

Is Highland Tryndamere worth it? For 520 RP or if you get lucky with a chest, absolutely. It won't make you suddenly climb ranks but my experience with Highland Tryndamere has been positive enough that I've been using it over my more expensive skins. Perfect for Trynd mains who want something different without breaking the bank.
