Hextech Tristana was probably the best gemstone investment I've made after collecting all ten. After around 90 games with it, I can honestly say this skin changes how her kit feels compared to other Tristana skins in subtle but satisfying ways.
The W animation feels cleaner than base Tristana and even Dragon Trainer. When you're jumping in for those risky tower dives, the landing indicator is crystal clear which makes calculating your escape so much easier. Her E charges have this mechanical tick sound that's actually helpful for tracking stacks without staring at the enemy health bar. And the ult feels more responsive somehow, like there's less wind up before the knockback registers. In a recent dragon fight, I managed to insec their fed Jinx into our team because the R animation cancel felt instant after my W reset.
Compared to Bewitching Tristana which I mained before, Hextech just feels more precise. The auto attack projectiles are easier to track for last hitting, especially when you're trying to CS under tower pressure. Is Hextech Tristana worth it? For an exclusive skin, absolutely. The steampunk aesthetic might seem cringe but good once you see it in action. My experience with Hextech Tristana convinced me it's not pay to win, but the visual clarity definitely helps in teamfights when everyone's popping off with abilities everywhere.
Should you buy Hextech Tristana if you main her? If you can get the gemstones, it's worth over most of her skins except maybe Firefighter for pure visibility. The skin aged incredibly well and still feels premium three years later. Just don't expect it to fix your positioning when you int.
