Hextech Sion

Over the years, many have asked—should art be chained by the fleeting concept of morality? Or should science bend a knee to the laws of man? Some believe progress is not made by holding ourselves back, and though we may give birth to monsters… Hextech will always guide our path...

After 55 games with Hextech Sion, I'm convinced this skin completely changes how the champion feels to pilot. Got it from a reroll during preseason and honestly wasn't expecting much since I usually rock Mecha Zero, but this thing's become my go to for ranked climbs.

The Q channel feels way more responsive than base skin, and you can actually tell when you're at max charge without staring at the indicator. His ult has this mechanical roar that makes it easier to judge your speed compared to other Sion skins where the audio cues get muddy in teamfights. But the real game changer is the W shield pop. The hextech explosion effect is so clean that I've started timing my shields better just because the visual feedback is insane. Had a dragon fight yesterday where I perfectly timed my W explosion between their ADC and support, and the clarity of the animation made it obvious I'd hit both for the slow. With Mecha Zero or even Worldbreaker, that same play would've been harder to confirm in the chaos.

Compared to other Sion skins, this one sits in a weird spot. It's not as intimidating as Mecha Zero but way cleaner than his older skins like Warmonger. The hextech aesthetic makes everything feel tighter and more precise, which probably helps when you're trying to land those pixel perfect Q edges in lane. Is Hextech Sion worth it if you're a Sion main? Absolutely. The visual clarity alone makes it feel slightly pay to win, especially when you're trying to CS under tower with your passive. My experience with Hextech Sion convinced me to refund Blackfrost just to keep this one permanently.
