Got Hextech Amumu from a chest last month and honestly wasn't expecting much since I mainly play Surprise Party Amumu. After around 50 games though, this skin's grown on me way more than I thought it would.
The Q bandage toss feels insanely smooth compared to base skin, and the hitbox visibility is probably the cleanest of all his skins. Your W toggle has this satisfying mechanical sound that makes it easier to track when you're burning mana in teamfights. But what really sells it is the ult animation being so much clearer than other skins. Had a dragon fight yesterday where their ADC flashed out perfectly because the wind-up is super obvious, which is actually better for both teams. The recall animation with all the hextech pieces assembling is pretty sick too.
Compared to other Amumu skins like Surprise Party or Emumu, this one's way less tilting to play against while still looking good. The blue hextech glow makes you stand out in river fights without being obnoxious like some of his brighter skins. And the auto attack animation feels more responsive when you're trying to CS under tower or clear camps. Is Hextech Amumu worth it if you're buying with RP? Maybe not at full price unless you really love the hextech aesthetic, but getting it from a chest or on sale makes it absolutely worth adding to your collection.
This isn't pay-to-win by any means, just pure cosmetic with some nice clarity improvements. My experience with Hextech Amumu has been surprisingly positive, and I'd recommend it for anyone who wants a clean, competitive-friendly skin that won't int your visibility in teamfights.
