Heavenscale Smolder

The youngest member of the royal family and cousin to the prince, Smolder likes nothing more than to tag along on any adventures Lee Sin gets up to. He may have missed the part of the plan that involves disguising himself as a human, but hey—he will show them that dragons don't need to dress up to be the life of the party!

Been spamming Heavenscale Smolder for about 70 games now after getting it from a chest, and honestly this skin hits different than I expected. The whole celestial dragon vibe makes last hitting feel smoother somehow, like the auto attack animation has this cleaner wind-up that just flows better than base skin. Where it really shines though is during those messy dragon fights when everyone's abilities are going off and you're trying to track your Q stacks through all the chaos.

The Q feels way more responsive compared to base Smolder, probably because the projectile has this golden trail that's easier to track in teamfights. Your W breath actually looks threatening now with the heavenly fire effect, and I swear people dodge it more often just because it looks scarier. But the real game changer is the ult clarity. Had this insane baron fight yesterday where I could perfectly see my ult path through three different champion abilities because the golden beam cuts through visual clutter so well. Meanwhile my friend on base Smolder said he couldn't even tell where his ult was going half the time.

Compared to other Smolder skins like the base or even his release skin, Heavenscale just feels premium without being pay to win. The recall animation alone is worth when you're fed and want to flex a bit. Sure, 1350 RP might seem steep for some, but after this many games I'd say it's worth it if you're planning to main him. The skin doesn't give you any real advantage, but those cleaner animations and better visual clarity make the whole experience feel less clunky, especially when you're trying to pop off in late game teamfights.
