Been maining Hecarim for three seasons now with around 500k mastery points, and I gotta share my experience with Headless Hecarim after spamming it for 150+ games. This skin completely changed how I play certain matchups, especially when you're trying to intimidate squishies in teamfights.
The Q feels way more responsive compared to base Hecarim, and the animation cancel on your E charge is noticeably cleaner. What really makes this skin worth it though is the ult. When you pop off with that ghostly charge, enemies genuinely struggle to track where you're landing because the spectral effects blend better with terrain. I remember this one dragon fight where their ADC completely whiffed their flash because they couldn't read my ult trajectory properly. The W healing aura is probably the only ability that feels similar to base, but even that has this sick pumpkin glow that makes it easier to track your healing radius in messy fights.
Compared to other Hecarim skins like Arcade or Cosmic, Headless actually gives you a slight edge. It's not exactly pay to win, but the visual clarity on YOUR end is insane while being harder for enemies to read. The 975 RP price tag feels completely justified when you consider how smooth everything flows together. And honestly, after using High Noon for months, this one just hits different with its Halloween vibes.
Should you buy Headless Hecarim? If you're serious about climbing with the pony or just want that psychological advantage in lane, absolutely grab it. The skin aged incredibly well since release and still tilts people when you come charging out of fog with that haunting laugh.
