Picked up Headhunter Nidalee from a chest last month and honestly wasn't expecting much since I'm usually running Warring Kingdoms. After about 40 games though, this skin's grown on me in ways I didn't anticipate, especially when you're trying to land those max range spears in river skirmishes.
The spear throw feels noticeably smoother compared to base Nidalee, and there's something about the projectile that makes it easier to track in teamfights. Her cougar form W has this satisfying thunk when you pounce that just feels more responsive than other skins. But what really sold me was during a dragon fight where I needed to weave in and out of vision. The trap placement animation is less clunky than Warring Kingdoms, letting me set up bush control while kiting backwards without that weird delay. And when you're fed and diving their backline, the cougar Q swipe has better visual clarity for both you and probably your enemies too, which sounds bad but actually helps you track your damage output better.
Is Headhunter Nidalee worth it compared to other Nidalee skins? It's definitely not pay to win, but the animations do feel tighter overall. The recall is pretty cringe but good with that trophy display thing. My experience with Headhunter Nidalee has been surprisingly positive for a skin I never planned on using. If you're a Nidalee main who already owns her flashier skins, you might still want this one for when you need that extra bit of clarity in your combos. Worth picking up if it goes on sale, though full price might be steep unless you really vibe with the predator aesthetic.
