Guerilla Tristana

Got Guerilla Tristana from a mystery chest last month and honestly wasn't expecting much from this 975 RP skin. After about 40 games though, I'm actually surprised how clean it feels compared to base Tristana. The military theme isn't groundbreaking but there's something about the animations that just works better for me.

The W jump feels more responsive than default, probably because the jetpack visual makes the hitbox clearer when you're trying those risky tower dives. Her E bomb placement has this satisfying thunk sound that makes CS timing easier somehow. And the ult knockback has a better visual tell with the explosion effect, which saved me during a baron fight yesterday when their Zed tried to int on me. I managed to ult him perfectly into my team because I could actually see the exact moment the animation would connect, something I always struggled with on base skin.

Compared to other Tristana skins like Dragon Trainer, this one's way more subtle but that's actually why I prefer it now. Dragon Trainer is cute but the projectiles can be distracting when you're trying to focus. Guerilla keeps everything clean while still feeling different enough to be worth using. The recall animation with the helicopter is pretty cringe but good for BM after you pop off in lane.

Is Guerilla Tristana worth it if you're buying at full price? Maybe not unless you really want that military aesthetic. But if you main her or get it discounted, it's definitely one of her better skins for clarity. Not pay to win exactly, but the cleaner animations do make a small diff in tight situations.
