Goalkeeper Blitzcrank

Got Goalkeeper Blitzcrank from a chest last month and wasn't expecting much from this legacy skin. After about 40 games though, I'm actually impressed with how clean it feels compared to other Blitzcrank skins in my collection. The soccer theme might seem goofy at first but the execution is surprisingly solid.

The Q hook animation feels noticeably smoother than base Blitzcrank and even some of his newer skins. There's something about the way he winds up that makes the hitbox feel more honest, especially when you're trying to thread hooks through minion waves. His W speed boost has this subtle sprint animation that actually helps me time my engages better. And the ult? Instead of the usual electric burst, you get this satisfying whistle sound that somehow makes it easier to track in teamfights. I remember this one dragon fight where the enemy team was stacked up and I could clearly see my ult spreading through them thanks to the cleaner visual effect, something that gets lost in the chaos with skins like iBlitzcrank.

Is Goalkeeper Blitzcrank worth it if you main him? Probably not if you already own Lancer Rogue or Battle Boss since those offer more visual flair. But for 520 RP, you're getting a skin that's aged incredibly well with animations that feel more responsive than they should for something this old. It's purely cosmetic but the cleaner animations genuinely help in clutch moments. My experience with Goalkeeper Blitzcrank has been way better than expected, and while it won't make you land more hooks, it definitely won't tilt you with clunky visuals either. Solid pickup if you catch it on sale or want something different from the robot aesthetic.
