Gangplank the Betrayer

Picked up Gangplank the Betrayer from a chest last month and honestly wasn't expecting much since I usually rock Captain or Dreadnova. After about 50 games though, this skin completely changed my mind about what a good GP skin needs to be. The ghostly green effects actually make last hitting easier somehow, and the whole corrupted vibe just hits different when you're carrying.

The barrel animations feel way cleaner than base skin, especially when you're doing those quick triple barrel combos in teamfights. His Q has this satisfying ghostly trail that makes it easier to track in messy fights, and the ult drops with these sick green explosions that probably tilt enemies harder than normal. But the best part is during those intense dragon fights when you drop barrels in the pit. I swear the green glow makes them harder for enemies to spot in river bushes, which led to me stealing dragon with a perfect barrel chain last week. The enemy jungler was so tilted he started flaming his support for not clearing vision.

Compared to other Gangplank skins like Special Forces, this one feels more responsive when animation canceling your Q into barrels. The recall animation where he's consumed by the mist is pretty insane too. And while it's definitely not pay to win, the visual clarity on his passive true damage proc is noticeably better than base. Is Gangplank the Betrayer worth it if you main him? Absolutely. Even at 1350 RP it's solid value considering how smooth everything feels. My experience with Gangplank the Betrayer convinced me that sometimes the unexpected skins end up being the best ones in your collection.
